Shyam will go over your birth chart using Vedic astrology and answer your questions about different areas of your life. He may ask about past events to confirm your birth time. He uses the Dasa system, a system of time periods that shows when things are likely to happen in your life. You can ask specific questions, such as "When will I get my next promotion?", "How will next year go?" or "How is my relationship with my parents?"

Sessions last 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the service. A General Horoscope Reading takes 55 minutes. Individual Questions and Auspicious Time sessions take 30 minutes. See each service for its exact length.

All readings are held over Zoom. Shyam does not offer consultations by email or text.

Vedic astrology is based on techniques and models developed by the ancient sages of India, and Shyam interprets these models for modern life. No large studies have measured the accuracy of Vedic astrology, but it has been widely followed for generations. Please use your reading at your own discretion. Shyam gives no guarantee of the accuracy or validity of any prediction.

Vedic astrology depends on an accurate birth time. If your time is within about 2 hours of your actual birth time, Shyam can sometimes confirm or correct it. He can also answer single questions without a birth time, using a technique called Prasna (horary astrology).

Shyam does not provide a written analysis of the horoscope. You are welcome to record the session or take notes.

Technically, Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac, while Western astrology uses the tropical zodiac. Read more about the difference here.Vedic astrology also uses more factors to make a prediction: the birth horoscope, Dasa periods and current transits. Western astrology looks mainly at the birth horoscope and transits. The Dasa system, which times events, is one of the key features of Vedic astrology.

You don't have to believe in astrology. You can still get a reading and see whether it works for you.

In Vedic astrology, everything is based on planetary energies. When a planet's energy is weak in your horoscope, it can affect the area of life that planet rules. For example, Jupiter relates to children. You can use materials that carry the same planetary energy to strengthen that area of your life. For example, yellow sapphire is believed to carry the energy of Jupiter, so if Jupiter is weak in your horoscope, you might wear a yellow sapphire. Shyam can advise whether a remedy suits your chart.
